Laboratório de Reabilitação Psicossocial

This Master's Programme in Themes of Psychology of the Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto was developed in collaboration with the Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde do Instituto Politécnico do Porto. Its general goal is the  qualification  of Professionals with different educational backgrounds, providing them with indepth knowledge and skills in the area of Mental Health and Psychosocial Rehabilitation of social excluded groups and with deficits in psychosocial functioning, particularly people with psychiatric disabilities. 

The Master's programme in Occupational Therapy, within the polytechnic higher education, has the general goal (according to the Dec-Lei nº 74/2006, de 24 de Março) has as a general goal the training of professionals in areas of professional specialization, and the promotion of a higher degree of qualification, both stimulating the production and diffusion of specific knowledge in the field of occupational therapy. In this context it is intended that the Mental Health specialization promotes  a qualified training of occupational therapists, and possibly other health professionals, in advanced expertise and knowledge production within the field of mental health and mental disorders.
